There are 2 types of jealousies:
(i) The jealous person wishes the downfall of someone's blessings, wealth, knowledge, status, honour and hopes that he gets it all for himself.
(ii) Wishing for loss of someone else's blessing, regardless he himself gets it or not (This is the worst form of jealousy).
The Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) said:
"Save yourself from jealousy! It eats up your righteous deeds, just the way fire eats up wood."
